What does a fractional COO do for an agency?

A fractional COO owns your operations part time: the processes, routines and systems that turn sold work into delivered, invoiced work. For an agency that usually means intake and scoping, resourcing, client reporting and billing, plus the tools that hold them together.

How much does a fractional COO cost?

BYLD charges $10k per month. Fractional COOs commonly bill $150 to $500 an hour, or $5k to $12k a month, so we sit inside the normal range. Our monthly price includes building the AI systems, not only advising on them.

Is a virtual COO the same thing?

Mostly. A virtual COO is a fractional COO who works remotely. We work with you over video and inside your tools, from Toronto.

How is this different from hiring a consultant?

A consultant hands you recommendations. We sit in your leadership meetings, keep the week on track and build the systems ourselves, then keep improving them month after month.

Do we have to switch to Byld Ops?

No. We start with the tools you already use. Byld Ops is an option when your stack is part of the problem.
