Its engineering team needed to ship changes safely and often, without one release holding up the next.

Budly's platform still ran on the setup it started with:
one shared environment
, manual deploys and infrastructure changed by hand. Every release moved together, so engineers waited on each other to ship.

Terraform
All three environments are code, so a change to the infrastructure is reviewed like any other change and an environment can be rebuilt on demand.

Integration tests, security scanning and semantic versioning on every change, so releases are small and traceable.

Managed AWS
Containers, database and cache run as managed services, which cut the daily bill while adding two environments.

BYLD ran a four-month infrastructure project with a senior cloud engineer. We moved Budly's services onto managed AWS containers behind an API gateway, with a managed database and cache, and defined separate dev, release candidate and production environments in Terraform, so each one can be rebuilt from code.
Every change now goes through a CI/CD pipeline with integration tests, security scanning and versioned releases, and moves from dev to release candidate to production on its own. We added central logging and handed over runbooks and a deployment plan with rollback steps. Production went live on the new setup in May 2026.
